Who we are
Popolo, Italian for “people”.
We are a small independent restaurant cooking food for the people and visitors of Shoreditch.
Popolo is Jon Lawson and his team.
What we cook
We cook Italian inspired creative little plates with Middle Eastern and Moorish influences.
We work with carefully sourced produce treated with minimum fuss.
The menu takes inspiration from the regions and the seasons.
We also hand roll fresh pasta for every service.
What we pour
We pour natural and low intervention wines. Small producers, authenticity and a lot of character.
How it works
We have a downstairs bar overlooking our open kitchen.
We have tables upstairs and an additional window bar overlooking Rivington street.
We take reservations for our tables and window counter on the first floor.
Owing to size we cannot seat groups above 5 people.
